Move WordPress recipes to Shopify

WP Recipe Maker, Tasty Recipes, and Create by Mediavine store recipes as structured plugin data, not as ordinary post HTML. Shopify has no importer for those objects. If you move the blog and do nothing else, you keep the story and lose the card, the schema, and often the rankings that depended on them.

What does not come over

• Recipe JSON-LD generated by the WordPress plugin
• Jump-to-recipe, cook mode, and print stylesheets
• Star ratings stored in the plugin
• Affiliate or WooCommerce ingredient links
• Nutrition panels

A migration that does not tank SEO

1. Export every recipe (title, times, yield, ingredients, steps, nutrition, images) to a spreadsheet before you unplug WordPress.
2. 301 the old recipe URLs to the new Shopify article URLs. Do not leave both live.
3. Install a Shopify recipe card app and rebuild each recipe as structured data, not as pasted HTML.
4. Validate Recipe rich results on a sample of URLs before you announce the move.
5. Watch Google Search Console for recipe rich-result errors for 30 days.
